It's not CEOs developing new medication, it's scientists, researchers, engineers, lab technicians doing the actual work.
It's not investors mass-producing medication, it's factory workers, operators, everyone across the production and logistical chain making sure those medications are manufactured and delivered.
Meanwhile CEOs, investors, shareholders do nothing but extract the profits of the workers' labor and get in the way of any innovation that doesn't meet their desired profit incentives.
Workers could still accomplish the same without CEOs or investors taking a cut. In fact, they'd do it even better in a society where research isn't slowed by restrictive intellectual property laws and patent trolling.
Capitalism has truly colonized some people's imaginations.
