Following my continued diving into NixOS'ifying my things, I wanted to see if I could get Splunk up and running. Turns out: yes. I was apprehensive since it's closed source and obviously not packaged for NixOS, but it turned out not to be too bad.
If you've ever wanted to use a NixOS VPS to run Splunk, I hope this is helpful!

I really like Splunk1, especially for personal projects where usage can fit comfortably into the free tier. I also really like NixOS, and have recently embarked on getting my web stuff onto NixOS.Oliver’s Musings
