4. Supporting character keeps trying to steal the spotlight?
I'm not sure if the emphasis is on "steal the spotlight" or "keeps trying to". If the former, quite a few. If the latter, it has to be the spirit of MC1's weapon, who turned out to be a lot more than a weapon. One of MY personal faves, so of course he gets to steal the spotlight.

3. Protagonist's signature scent
MC1: bamboo forest on a humid, cloudy day
MC2: sandalwood and citrus
MC3: er.... laundry detergent with floral notes?
MC4: warm and sweet smell of a neighbourhood bakery, perhaps

2. Scene I once cut and still think about?
A childhood backstory of three side characters. It doesn't fit the main story, but I like it. So I will flesh it out and make it an "extra" chapter at some point.

Trying to get back to answer the writing prompts after a long break, for no particular reasons. So here we go.

I'm participating with two WIPs. One is the fourth book in a series that I've been working on for years. The other is a secret story I recently started. But they're written in Chinese and virtually nobody here reads them anyway, so I won't specify their names or which work they're from in each prompt.

1. Best tour guide.
Hmmmmm perhaps a non-human side character, as they had... ermmm well, let's say... enticed the main crew into visiting strange places a few times in the series already. Whether they serve as a good tour guide depends on what "good" means in this context. But they surely take people to places.
